Foster Care Supervisor

FOSTER CARE SUPERVISOR – KALAMAZOO

Full‑time position with benefits and flexible scheduling. $5,000 sign‑on bonus available for candidates with at least two years of experience as a Foster Care Supervisor. Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the unit and supervise, train, and coordinate activities of up to five staff. Assist Program Management in hiring, maintaining compliance standards, and communicating the goal of reunification and family retention. Assign caseloads and coordinate staff activities across multiple counties and funding sources. Assist Program Manager with staff performance management, including recruitment, discipline, and development recommendations. Review and sign case records, court documents, and family support worker documentation. Provide up‑to‑date in‑service training on new state policies, procedures, legal issues, licensing regulations, and court interface. Participate in agency committees and represent the agency in community and interagency activities. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise professional foster care staff. Qualifications Minimum of a BA/BS in a human service‑related field. Four to six years of relevant experience in human services/child welfare, with at least three years at a child welfare agency, child caring institution, or performing a child welfare function. Ability to understand, demonstrate, and apply the agency’s workplace values. Preferred MSW/MA and prior supervisory experience. Lived experience with behavioral health issues.
