Production Supervisor

Job Description Responsible for overseeing daily operations of the manufacturing floor by leading and coordinating the activities to ensure efficient production, adherence to quality standards and promote safe working conditions. Roles and responsibilities Lead and supervise manufacturing personnel on the day-to-day activities of the manufacturing personnel. Collaborate with master scheduler to create daily and weekly production schedules. Manage the allocation of resources, including manpower, equipment, material to adhere to the production schedule. Enforce quality standards; investigate and address quality issues in a timely manner. Communicate production priorities, goals, targets, and changes effectively to the manufacturing team across all shifts. Enforce accurate production records and reports including production logs, job quantity, machine resources and non-conformances. Monitor manufacturing personnel performance and attendance. Collaborate with Quality Department to resolve Quality challenges, internal or external. Promote a culture of Quality, safety and teamwork. Qualifications and Skills Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledgeable in subtractive manufacturing processes, quality control and safety standards. Ability to identify, analyze and troubleshoot production issues. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement. Proficient in the use of personal computers to perform daily work. Knowledgeable in interpreting CNC programs (G-codes) in mill and lathe machines. Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of programs and MRP systems. Education / Experience Minimum 5 years of management or supervisorial experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
