About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years required License: Not specified Certifications: DORA, BLS Must-Have: - Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center experience - Experience in General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastics procedures Description: 10 RTO days maximum approved. RTO is not allowed during the following time periods: - October 25 to November 4 - November 22 to December 2 - December 20 to January 3 Shifts are 3x12 hours from 18:45 to 07:15. Scheduling will vary weekly based on staffing needs. On-call requirements are not necessary. Weekends are required based on unit needs. No first-time travelers will be considered. Scrubs will be provided for the position. Candidates must possess experience in the following procedures: - Abdominal hysterectomy - Abdominoplasty - ALIF (Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion) - Amputations - Anterior cervical fusion - Anterior/Posterior Repair (Colporrhaphy) - Appendectomy - Bilateral tubal ligation - Breast augmentation - Cholecystectomy - Colon resection (Open/LAP) - Craniotomy - Cystoscopy - Dilation & Curettage - Endoscopic sinus procedures - Free Flap - Microvascular - General OR procedures - Gunshot/stab wounds - Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical) - Kyphoplasty - Laminectomy/discectomy - Laparoscopic assisted cases - Lumbar fusion - Mastectomy with tram flap reconstruction - Nephrectomy - Prostatectomy - Radical neck dissection - Therapeutic Abortion - Thyroidectomy (partial/total) - Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy - Tracheostomy - Transurethral resection of the prostate - Whipple procedure - XLIF (Extreme Lateral Interbody Fusion) The unit is a Level 1 trauma center with 41 OR rooms. Candidates should possess experience in trauma as specified.
