You can join a dynamic team of professionals where your contributions and voice make a difference.Job Description/Duties Include:Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.Sterilizes and delivers instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning; passing instruments.Selects, mixes, and places materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.Exposes and develops radiographic studies; pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.Maintains patient confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols.Completes preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.Applies sealants, takes impressions, performs coronal polishing, applies topical anesthetic, applies topical fluorideObtains prior authorizationsScansHandles patient phone callsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:High School diploma or equivalent requiredCurrent radiography certification requiredCurrent EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) certification requiredDental Assistant certification as required by state; ability to become certifiedQualificationsCornerstone Care is a Non-Profit, Federally Qualified Health Center with 14 locations and a mobile unit, serving communities throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania, and Northern West Virginia.
