Details Operating Room unit position within a hospital setting Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Performs procedures including general surgery, pediatric general surgery, ENT, pediatric ENT, orthopedic, and thoracic cases Utilizes electrosurgical units and supports endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy and EGD Epic EMR experience preferred Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities Requirements Active CA RN license required, compact license must be in hand at time of submission Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Experience with cardiac monitoring, emergency management, code response, and fire safety required Experience with total joint replacement and VATS procedures preferred PACU/Recovery experience preferred Epic charting system experience preferred Additional Information Responsible for direct patient care in surgical procedures across general, pediatric, ENT, orthopedic, and thoracic specialties Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be accepted at a lower bill rate Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility First-time travelers are not required for this role but travel experience is not mandated All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process American Traveler Job ID P-749866.
