Marine Construction Yard Mechanic
American Marine Construction is looking for an experienced, dependable Mechanic to join our team. We are seeking someone who can keep our trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and barges operating safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on:
  

• Diesel and gas trucks
  

• Trailers
  

• Heavy equipment
  

• Small engines
  

• Barges and marine equipment
  

• Handle preventative maintenance including:
  

• Oil changes
  

• Calls in tire repairs/replacements
  

• Trailer light and brake repairs
  

• General inspections and upkeep
  

• Manage vehicle and trailer maintenance schedules
  

• Assist with vehicle and trailer tag renewals
  

• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs in a timely manner
  

• Maintain clean and organized work areas
  

• Help ensure equipment is job-site ready at all times
  

Qualifications:

• Experience working on diesel, gas, and small engines
  

• Knowledge of truck, trailer, and equipment maintenance
  

• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
  

• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
  

• Valid driver’s license required
  

• Dependable, motivated, and safety-minded
  

• Must be able to work outdoors and handle the Florida heat
