Information Technology Specialist (DATAMGT)
Duty locations are limited to the following for this position: Baltimore, MD; Dallas, TX; Denver/Aurora, CO; Durham, NC; Kansas City, MO; Pittsburgh, PA; Portland, OR; San Diego, CA; Seattle, WS; Spokane; Washington, DC; Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Bay Pines, FL; Chicago, IL; Frederick, MD; Manchester, NH. Current OIG Employees will remain at their current duty location. As a Information Technology Specialist (DATAMGT), you will:
- Provide OIG components with comprehensive data analysis support.
- Work closely with VA and other governmental and private sector agencies to obtain databases and files for OIG use that will improve staff output, provide better product, and increase productivity within the OIG.
- Coordinate implementation of database designs and modifications of design characteristics in response to complex performance problems, changing customer requirements, or rapidly evolving or constantly changing database systems.
- Lead project teams in response to requests for data analysis support; plans and coordinates project design, development, and implementation including new data management schema, data structures, and access strategies in alignment with specific requests and overall OIG mission requirements.
