Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit serving a primarily neurological patient population within a Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG data for patients requiring cardiac and neurological observation
• Care for telemetry overflow patients from other populations, applying a broad range of nursing skills beyond neurology
• Float to other units within the facility as needed to support hospital-wide staffing needs
• Complete required orientation modules virtually on the first day of contract and fulfill annual module requirements per specialty
• Work every other weekend and holidays as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Neurology nursing experience required
• Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Active BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Must successfully complete a Basic EKG exam (provided through Prophecy Relias) prior to attending orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Certified Stroke Center or Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Comfort with floating to varied patient populations and unit types within a large facility
