Growing together.Position SummaryAs a Lead Technical Product Manager within the Chief Digital Office (CDO) - Consumer Engineering division, you will drive the strategy, design, development, and management of complex digital platforms and capabilities across the full product lifecycle. In this role, you will lead high-priority, cross-functional initiatives spanning architecture, operations, digital transformation, and workforce productivity. You will partner closely with engineering, data science, product, architecture, security, and executive leadership to translate business vision and emerging technical capabilities into clear strategic roadmaps, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Lead high-priority, cross-functional initiatives across architecture and operations, including digital transformation, workforce productivity, strategic planning, and executive communicationsDevelop strategic and operational delivery plans, roadmaps, and timelines aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational readinessEstablish governance, track progress and dependencies, and ensure accountability across milestone delivery, performance metrics, budget spend, and escalation paths using standard project/product management practicesManage the leadership operating cadence and executive communications, preparing decision memos, briefings, and status reports while translating complex technical concepts for senior leadersLead delivery in highly matrixed environments, partnering across operations, engineering, product, architecture, security, and vendors to resolve dependencies, facilitate decisions, and manage conflicts without direct authorityLeverage enterprise-approved AI productivity tools to streamline workflows, automate routine tasks, and drive continuous operational improvementEvaluate emerging technology trends, standards, patterns, and vendor capabilities to inform solution design, product strategy, and strategic innovationYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience in technical product management, systems analysis, product engineering, project management, business analysis, or operational readiness delivering complex software systems3+ years of experience partnering with engineering, data science, or technical teams to deliver automated, software-driven, or machine learning-enabled capabilities2+ years of experience owning product strategy, roadmaps, success metrics, and delivery of enterprise-scale platform capabilities in large, matrixed organizations2+ years of experience leading and influencing engineering, architecture, security, business, and executive stakeholders without direct authority2+ years knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum, and hybrid delivery models, alongside proficiency with enterprise tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, and Excel2+ years of experience managing project budgets, forecasting resources, tracking spend, and supporting funding decisions2+ years of experience leveraging AI productivity tools to streamline workflows, automate routine tasks, and drive continuous operational improvementPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, business, or a related technology fieldExperience in enterprise-scale or regulated environments, such as healthcare, financial services, or government domainsUnderstanding of automated digital agents and agentic workflows in modern enterprise environmentsUnderstanding of secure, responsible, and ethical digital solution development practices, model validation, or governance protocolsDemonstrated ability to use advanced digital productivity and automation tools to improve day-to-day work processes*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
