Finance and Strategy Associate
Location: Birmingham, AL (Onsite)

Our client, a leading distribution company based in Birmingham, is looking for a Finance and Strategy Associate to join the team. In this role, you will support executives by consolidating financial budgets, optimizing resources, enhancing forecasts, and delivering insights for business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze and interpret financial and operational data across Business Units, delivering meaningful insights on trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Perform detailed reviews of monthly financial performance, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow results, comparing budgets to actuals, forecasts and prior year performance.
• Prepare executive level reporting packages, presentations, and board support materials.
• Evaluate financial data to uncover trends, patterns and opportunities that drive profitability improvements and cost optimization initiatives.
• Leverage FP&A and business intelligence tools to enhance reporting automation and analytical capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Accounting Analyst or similar role.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Power BI, Tableau, Oracle or similar experience.
