CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories.ResponsibilitiesReviews requisitions and issues purchase orders to the optimum advantage of the company based on value, quality, delivery, and priceAssists in the selection of qualified suppliers through facility inspection and personal inquiry and adjudicates difference between CEC and vendorsObtains quotations as required and selects vendorsPerforms liaison between requisitioning departments and suppliersMay aid in the interpretation of specifications, prints, sources of materials, tools, etc., and may provide technical fabrication assistanceRecommends changes or substitutes when specific materials are not available or when quality may be improved or costs reducedMay provide Production Control with quantity price break information and necessary lead-time required for economic lot purchasesMaintains follow-up on all open orders through correspondence and other lines of communication depending on urgencyAdvises Sr. Procurement Manager on status of open orders periodically to determine action to be taken on delinquent ordersMay order tools, gages, and material as required from their respective areas within the company to augment the processing of orders, and may expedite new vendor produced tooling parts for approval, and release them after approvalAssists Sr. Procurement Manager in preparation of reports and maintenance recordsReviews rejected parts as to source and makes final dispositionAssists in the training of buyersUphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and TeamworkDemonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and ConductIt is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problemDuties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the businessQualificationsAt least 8 years of directly related Procurement experienceProficient in Excel, Word, PowerPointExperience with multiple ERP SystemsAble to adapt and work multiple priorities as neededBachelor's degree from four-year college or university.5+ years of experience working with CNC machine shopsHighly skilled at reading machined, build-to-print drawings and/or technical data packagesPreferred QualificationsExperience with Deltek Costpoint2+ years of Leadership/Management Experience is preferredPay may range from $119,000 to $143,000 annuallyThe pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.
