Job Title: Med Surg Telemetry RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 Year of Recent Experience in Specialty License: Registered Nurse License (State of Alabama or Compact License) Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross Certification Required Must-Have: - Willingness to float to other units and hospitals - Ability to work holidays and every other weekend Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse to work in the Medical-Surgical Telemetry specialty. The trauma surgical unit primarily cares for acute care trauma and surgical patients. Nurses in this area work with a patient ratio of 1:6 and utilize an interdisciplinary team approach to address each patient's specific needs. Staff members are experts in trauma, orthopedic, and urology nursing, providing care to these populations. The unit values collaboration with various physicians and specialists while delivering individualized attention to all hospitalized patients. Education required includes an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Candidates must have two years of nursing experience; however, 18 months of experience may be considered if operating under the highest level of professional license, with one year of recent experience in the specialty.
