Position Overview Mark Rite Lines is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our accounting team in Billings, Montana. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience and build a strong foundation in corporate accounting.

In this role, you'll support day-to-day accounting functions, assist with financial processes, and work closely with experienced team members to develop your skills. Key Responsibilities Assist with preparing and posting journal entries Support month-end and year-end close processes Perform bank reconciliations and assist with general ledger reconciliations Help maintain and update fixed asset records Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Support preparation of financial reports and internal schedules Assist with audits by gathering requested documentation Identify discrepancies and escalate issues as needed Participate in process improvements and other accounting-related tasks Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress) 0–2 years of accounting experience (internships or coursework accepted) Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Willingness to learn and take direction Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Internship or prior exposure to accounting environments Familiarity with ERP or accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.) Interest in pursuing CPA or other professional certification Schedule & Compensation Full-time, Monday–Friday Hourly, non-exempt Weekly pay Short-term annual bonus opportunity Benefits Federal Signal Corporation offers a competitive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid holidays and paid vacation Employer-sponsored Health Savings Account (HSA) 401(k) with company match Smoke-free, drug-free workplace Why Join Mark Rite Lines?
