Insurance Defense / General Liability Defense Attorney

My client, a top law firm, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 3 to 15 years of experience to join their Austin litigation team. This position will focus on general liability/insurance defense, providing a unique opportunity to handle complex cases in a collaborative and client‑focused environment. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and motions. Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and arbitration. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers. Develop litigation strategies and work closely with senior attorneys and partners. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. 3–15 years of experience in general liability and/or transportation liability defense. Active license and in good standing to practice law. Strong analytical, research, and writing skills. Excellent communication and advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between $130k and $210k base.
