Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Lake Worth, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. Candidates should have experience with QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; candidates currently pursuing a degree will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Generate financial reports and assist with financial statement preparation.
• Monitor and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting files.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Support internal and external audits as required.
• Utilize QuickBooks to record, review, and maintain financial transactions.
• Create, update, and analyze spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist management with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or actively pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Multi-entity experience
• Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Experience using QuickBooks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with month-end close procedures.
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience in a small to mid-sized business environment.
• Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax reporting.
