Litigation Paralegal

Garnett Powell Maximon Barlow & Farbes is seeking a full-time litigation paralegal to join our growing law firm. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented paralegal to support our attorneys through all phases of litigation, from case initiation through trial. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment, possesses strong document management and litigation support skills, and is committed to delivering exceptional work product and client service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Organize, review, analyze, and manage large volumes of documents using firm-approved systems and procedures.
• Calculate and manage all case deadlines and ensure timely filing of court documents.
• Coordinate the preparation, filing, and service of court documents in federal and state courts.
• Assist attorneys with drafting motions, notices, pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• Organize, redact, bates-stamp, and prepare document productions.
• Proofread and quality-check correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents before filing or service.
• Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of legal terminology and court rules, including C.R.C.P. and F.R.C.P.
• Coordinate with various third-party professionals in acquiring discovery, such as investigative reports, video surveillance, and others, as required.
• Schedule hearings, depositions, expert conferences, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Assist in all aspects of trial preparation, including tracking all pretrial deadlines, preparing witness and exhibit lists, organizing exhibits and making trial binders, coordinating witnesses, preparing deposition designations, and assisting with jury instructions.
• Accurately track and enter billable time while adhering to all individual client protocols and procedures.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with court rules and e-filing in Federal and State Court.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel), Adobe, and eDiscovery software (Relativity, Logikcull).
• Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
• A paralegal certificate is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 3 years paralegal experience, preferably in litigation.

Job Type : Full-time, non-exempt. This position is based in our Denver office and is not suitable for a candidate seeking full-time remote work.

Compensation : $40.87-$55.29 hourly (~$85,000-$115,000 annually), depending on skills and experience.
