Responsibilities * Preparation of ASTM-compliant Phase I / II ESAs * Site Investigations * Drilling/excavating contractor oversight, soil/groundwater/soil vapor sample collection * Soil logging/geologic formation * Soil sampling at various NYC agency sites * Use of field equipment (PID meters, Horibas/water pumps etc.) * Oversight of GW monitoring well installations * Construction activities oversight including excavations, monitoring well installations, UST investigations/closures, etc. * CAMP implementation and work zone monitoring * Field activity report writing * Assist project PMs with preparation of various summary reports and documents * 8 hour shift Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field * 1-2 years' experience (entry level candidates will also be considered) * Must have a valid Driver's license and car (needed for field work) * Self-starter with strong analytical and writing skills * Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, reliable, detail oriented and a team player. * Strong communication skills required * OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER, Construction 30 HR.
