Radiologic Technologist

The Radiology Technician I (Rad Tech I) operates imaging equipment to perform procedures for a specified patient population. The role includes operating radiation equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing resources, and providing professional customer service. Responsibilities Performs quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods. Monitors and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, policies and procedures. Effectively manages resources such as supplies and equipment. Plans work and completes job responsibilities efficiently and productively. Demonstrates professional behavior and excellent customer service in all interactions. Education / Formal Training Requirements Required: Technical Degree or Diploma in Radiology. Preferred: None. Licenses & Certifications Requirements Registered Radiologic Technologist – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Basic knowledge of radiographic equipment and imaging procedures. Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers. Basic knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, PACS) preferred. Supervision There are no supervisory responsibilities assigned to this position, except that the incumbent may occasionally demonstrate various job responsibilities to other associates and observe/instruct student technologists. Physical Demands Physical activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. Exertion may involve up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently. Requires close visual acuity, including color, depth perception, and field of vision.
