The role involves providing specialized critical care to patients recovering from open heart procedures, ECMO cannulation, and other advanced cardiovascular interventions, with a focus on maintaining high-quality patient outcomes and adherence to unit guidelines. Job Details Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Location: Overland Park, Kansas Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Shift Details: Nights, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours/week Start Date: 09/28/2026 End Date: 12/28/2026 Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, Bachelors Degree in Nursing, at least 2 years of ICU nursing experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, experience with telemetry, pressors, positive Inotropes, pacemakers, chest tubes, cath/EP lab recovery, pericardial drains, and frequent vital sign assessments. Preferred Qualifications: CVICU experience, charge nurse experience for night shift, familiarity with Meditech documentation system, and experience with open heart procedures, ECMO cannulation. Additional Information: The unit cares for 10 patients with a staffing ratio of 2:1. Equipment used includes Alaris IV Pumps, GE Bedside Monitors, IABP, Impella. Floating policy permits coverage across Medical ICU and Floor units as needed.
