Labor Delivery Nurse

Schedule

This is a night shift position, working from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with weekend requirements of every other weekend and holiday rotation every other holiday.

Job Description

The Labor Delivery Nurse is responsible for providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients during labor and delivery, as well as coordinating postpartum couplet care. This role requires proficiency in Epic for patient record management. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in labor and delivery nursing, with the ability to support families during their childbirth experiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and provide nursing care during labor and delivery.
• Assist with the administration of medications and interventions as necessary.
• Provide postpartum care, including couplet care for mothers and their newborns.
• Utilize Epic for documentation and care coordination.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Labor Delivery Nurse within the last 6 months.
• Postpartum couplet care experience is mandatory.
• Current certifications in BLS, NRP, and ACLS (certifications must not expire within 30 days of the start date).
• Valid NJ or Compact RN license (pending not accepted).
