Step-Down Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Step-Down Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of recent step-down nursing experience and be proficient in managing a variety of patient conditions.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30). EOW & EOH.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from surgical procedures, including heart catheterizations and vascular procedures.
• Manage patients with respiratory failure, including those requiring BiPAP/CPAP support.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform frequent vital signs and neurovascular checks.
• Provide post-cardiac catheterization care and monitor patients with TR bands.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required experience/certifications/licensure include:

• Current RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• 2+ years of recent Step-Down nursing experience is mandatory.
• Previous experience with cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation is essential.
• Proficient in IV/Vascular access and PICC line management.
