Your Role As a Nationally Certified Interpreter your role is to delight our customers each and everyday with your talent and skills to provide access to our deaf community in a variety of settings. Effectively, accurately, and impartially conveying the thought, intent, and spirit of a speaker to deaf individuals. This includes a hybrid work experience as an on-site and virtual interpreter as a government contractor. Responsibilities Actively participate in the creation, implementation, and success of creating and maintaining a culture that embraces everyone, that demonstrates a psychological safe place to work daily, empowers and advocates for employees. Demonstrate a guiding principle of continuous improvement, personal and professional development, and initiative. Be a role model in carrying out the company’s mission, vision, and values consistently. Continue to build and emulate the company’s culture of People first. Be an advocate for yourself, team, department, division, and the company as a whole. Make ongoing recommendations and solutions on improving systems, processes, and other administrative tasks. A strong desire to educate and practice EOS principles. Demonstrated commitment and practical application of these principles. Ensures that we are working in the most efficient, thoughtful way in terms of value and systems. Proactively makes recommendations to enhance our internal customer’s experience within each Division and/or company. Familiar with business operations and demonstrate excellent leadership and problem-solving skills, team building, and innovative thinking. Follows accessibility related standards and laws, including WCAG, ADA Section 508 and WAI-ARIA. Performs other related or similar duties as required or assigned. Determines appropriate tools, information, resources, and training needed to resolve technical and instructional accessibility barriers. Requirements Hold National Certification from the Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf (RID). Five years of experience is preferred.
