This is a casual status position. Job Summary Our Women’s Health Clinical Service Line works to provide world class care, outcomes and experiences for the combined services of mothers, babies and families. Services include perinatology, obstetrical care, newborn care, neonatology, fetal care, gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, urogynecology and perinatal mental health. The OB/GYN Hospitalists provide in-house obstetrical coverage of the labor and delivery unit, antepartum and postpartum units, and triage areas. Key Position Details OB/GYN Hospitalists provide comprehensive obstetrical care in a collaborative, team-based environment, managing triage, deliveries, and postpartum care with confidence and compassion. Responsibilities Provide in-house obstetrical coverage of the labor and delivery unit, antepartum and postpartum units, and triage area. Deliver services including but not limited to emergency cesarean sections, spontaneous vaginal or operative vaginal births, postpartum tubal ligations, and rounding on antepartum, laboring and postpartum patients. Manage overall care of patients without an assigned physician and those requiring emergency obstetric care. Provide backup support and surgical assistance to staff Obstetricians as needed. Practice in a thoughtful manner with consideration for cultural diversity, autonomy and legal responsibilities. Actively participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to case management. Cover gynecology concerns from the Emergency Department; basic gynecologic surgery skills (D&C and laparoscopy) are required. Qualifications MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required. OBGYN BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required. Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain). Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI). Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges. Current BLS certification with AHA, ARC or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire. Physical Demands Medium Work: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs occasionally; up to 25 lbs frequently (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy). Compensation & Schedule Pay Range: Flat Rate: $191.00 per hour. This position is paid on a standard non-negotiable hourly rate. Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may apply for certain shifts.
