About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of A&R to be the driving force behind its A&R vision, strategy, and performance standards. This senior executive will lead and mentor A&R teams, foster a culture of creative excellence, and be responsible for high-stakes deal-making and core creative relationships. The successful candidate will oversee the entire process of artist and producer signings, from initial discovery to long-term success, and ensure an exceptional experience for all creative partners. The role also involves serving as a central connector across the organization, aligning creative priorities with business objectives, and maintaining a tight operating rhythm with the executive team. Applicants for the Head of A&R position at the company must have a deep, trusted network in key music markets, particularly Nashville, and a proven track record in A&R within music publishing. The role requires an expert understanding of publishing deal structures, royalty mechanics, and a strong data literacy across various industry tools. The ideal candidate will be a proven people leader, highly organized, and decisive under pressure, with a service-oriented work ethic and a passion for collaborative, team-based environments. Responsibilities include leading the A&R team in all aspects of the business, from scouting and development to pitching and reporting, as well as participating in executive meetings and royalty reviews. The Head of A&R will also be responsible for financial stewardship, market development, and maintaining a forward-looking creative pipeline.
