Position Summary

Five Crowns is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team. This position is responsible for managing customer invoicing, collections, payment processing, and maintaining accurate financial records in a fast-pace fresh produce environment. The ideal candidate understands the time-sensitive nature of agricultural operations and has strong organizational and communication skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Generate and process customer invoices accurately and timely
• Post customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards)
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding billing issues
• Coordinate with sales and operations teams to verify pricing, credits, and deductions
• Process adjustments, credit memos, and claims
• Assist with month-end closing related to A/R
• Maintain organized customer files and documentation
• Support audit requests and financial reporting needs
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications & Experience

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of accounts receivable experience (produce or agriculture industry preferred)
• Knowledge of produce billing, freight, and deductions is a plus
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Famous, or ERP systems preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
