Job Title: Lead Engineer
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Employment Type: Contract
About the RoleWe are looking for a senior hands-on engineer to join a fast-growing tech company in the software development sector. In this role, you will contribute to owning the technical integrity of a core backend platform, building the operational backbone of a live system, and ensuring the platform's security and timely delivery.
Responsibilities- Own the technical integrity of a core backend platform, ensuring engineering quality.
- Make build-vs-configuration calls under architectural direction and anchor a small specialist team.
- Build and deliver core software development and transaction-processing work.
- Ensure multi-tenant/multi-party security and enforce tenant isolation server-side.
- 8–12 years of hands-on experience, with recent work you personally built and delivered.
- Experience designing and building event-driven architecture, including event sourcing/CQRS.
- Strong domain-modeling judgment and specification skills.
- Proficiency in Python and working knowledge of relational databases and serverless-first cloud-native build.
- Experience with configuration-driven platforms and cloud-native architecture.
- Knowledge of container orchestration and domain exposure in a data-intensive, operationally complex industry.
