CU*Answers
Job Description
Job Description
Description:
Help build the future of payments at CU*Answers!
CU*Answers is expanding its payments strategy with CU*PAY , our new payment processing solution designed to give credit unions another way to manage and deliver card and payment services to their members. We’re looking for a Cards & Payments Project Support Specialist who will play an important role in supporting the launch, implementation, and ongoing growth of CU*PAY.
In this role, you’ll work directly with credit unions, internal teams, and payment partners to coordinate implementations, support conversions, provide training, troubleshoot issues, and help clients successfully navigate the CUPAY platform. Because CUPAY is a growing business opportunity, you’ll also have the chance to help shape processes, documentation, and the overall client experience as the solution evolves.
If you enjoy financial technology, payments, project coordination, and being part of something new, this is an opportunity to help build the next generation of payment services at CU*Answers.
What You’ll Do
- Support the implementation and ongoing growth of CU*PAY, CU*Answers’ payment processing solution
- Coordinate CUPAY implementation and conversion activities with credit unions, payment partners, vendors, programmers, and internal teams
- Guide credit union clients through project milestones, requirements, testing, implementation, and go-live
- Provide client training and ongoing support related to CU*PAY products and services
- Develop a strong understanding of CU*PAY and become a trusted product resource for clients and internal teams
- Track project activity, deadlines, outstanding items, and client communications
- Assist with testing and verification of system enhancements and programming changes
- Help develop and maintain procedures, training materials, project documentation, and other CUPAY resources
- Troubleshoot client questions and coordinate with the appropriate technical or operational resources to resolve issues
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and the client experience as CU*PAY continues to grow
- Support additional Cards & Payments initiatives and money-movement services as needed
What You Bring
- 1–2 years of office, financial services, payments, project support, or related experience; degree preferred
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with credit union clients
- Interest in payment processing, card services, financial technology, and emerging payment solutions
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfort working with technical teams, vendors, and business partners
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with CU*BASE or CBX, card processing, or credit union operations is a plus
Why CU*PAY?
CU*PAY represents a new business opportunity for CU*Answers and an investment in the future of payment processing for our credit union clients. Joining the team now means becoming part of the solution as it grows—not simply supporting an established product. You’ll have the opportunity to learn the payments industry, work directly with credit unions, contribute to new processes and services, and help shape how CU*PAY supports clients for years to come.
What is CU*Answers?CU*Answers is a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) owned by the credit union clients we serve. We provide an integrated suite of technology and operational solutions that help credit unions serve their members and compete in an evolving financial services industry. Through initiatives like CU*PAY, we continue to invest in new solutions that give credit unions greater opportunities to control their technology, payments, and member experience.
