Lawn Ranger of NoVA is a reliable and honest lawn mowing and lawn care company serving Northern Virginia. We are locally owned and operated by the same leadership team behind Ace Handyman Services of NoVA & DC—an Ace Hardware affiliated company trusted in thousands of homes. We are building something special and looking for high-character, hardworking men and women who want more than just a job—they want to help build the best lawn service company in Northern Virginia. As a Lawn Services Technician, you will:
- Drive a company truck to residential and small commercial job sites
- Work independently or with a crew partner
- Operate professional lawn equipment safely and efficiently
- Deliver consistent, high-quality mowing and lawn services
- Represent the Lawn Ranger brand with professionalism and courtesy
We are not "a guy with a mower." We are building a disciplined, reliable, customer-focused operation. Core responsibilities include:
- Operate walk-behind mower, push mower, edger, string trimmer, and blower
- Ability to drive manual (stick shift) transmission
- Perform weekly and bi-weekly mowing services
- Maintain sharp striping, clean edges, and professional presentation
- Perform minor equipment maintenance:
- Blade sharpening and replacement
- Oil changes
- Basic small engine upkeep
- Maintain a clean and organized shop and truck
- Respect company equipment and property
- Maintain professional communication with customers
On rain days or schedule gaps, technicians will assist with local marketing efforts (door hanger distribution and neighborhood outreach). We keep our team working.

- Zero tolerance for drugs or alcohol while employed
We want team members who put customers at ease and take ownership of their routes. Qualifications include:
- Experience in lawn care or landscaping preferred (but trainable candidates welcome)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail
