Join our FinTech IT team as an on-site Systems Administrator in Tulsa, OK, managing the hybrid on-premises and Microsoft Azure infrastructure behind mission-critical bill payment systems. You will deploy, patch, and monitor Windows Servers, administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), maintain networks and firewalls, run backup and security tooling, and support PCI DSS and SSAE 18 compliance. The environment you support includes self-service payment kiosks, an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) phone payment system, customer- and admin-facing web portals, mobile applications, a third-party API, and Microsoft SQL Server databases. You’ll work closely with our developers, Operations, and Customer Service teams, and occasionally interface with external clients and vendors. Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure & Operations

Deploy, configure, patch, and monitor Windows Server systems, hardware, and software across on-premises and Azure environments.

Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and Group Policy, and support Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL instances.

2. Cloud Administration (Microsoft Azure)

Provision, configure, and monitor Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage, Azure SQL Database, virtual networks, network security groups, and firewalls.

Manage identities and access in Microsoft Entra ID and use Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for visibility into our environment.

Help evolve our hybrid cloud architecture and improve cost efficiency.

3. Security & Monitoring

Maintain and operate our security and IT operations tooling, including endpoint protection/antivirus, log management/SIEM, backup and recovery, patch management, and File Integrity Monitoring (FIM).

Monitor security and availability alerts, investigate incidents, and escalate or remediate them promptly.

Implement and enforce security policies, hardening standards, and best practices across on-premises and cloud systems.

4. Compliance

Execute and document controls supporting PCI DSS and SSAE 18 (SOC 1) audits, including evidence collection, access reviews, patch reporting, and log retention.

5. Networking

Maintain WAN/LAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.

Support connectivity troubleshooting for our field kiosk network.

6. Support & On-Call

Provide Tier 2/3 technical support by phone and email for internal teams and external clients.

Participate in after-hours alert monitoring and on-call support.

7. Documentation & Continuous Improvement

Maintain up-to-date documentation of the network, systems, and applications.

Automate repetitive tasks with PowerShell and other scripting tools.

Stay current with new technologies and trends, continually improving our processes and systems.

 

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or a related IT role, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.

Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IIS.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, hybrid cloud, and VM deployment.

Experience with network infrastructure, including WAN/LAN, switches, routers, and firewalls.

Familiarity with backup, patch management, and endpoint security tools.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for supporting users, clients, and vendors.

Self-motivated, organized, and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Able to participate in after-hours on-call and occasional evening or weekend work when needed.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

PowerShell scripting and automation.

Experience with Azure services such as Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Monitor/Log Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Container Instances.

Experience in a PCI DSS, SOC 1/SSAE 18, or other regulated environment (payments, financial services, healthcare).

Microsoft SQL Server administration.

Experience with SIEM, EDR, or File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) tools.

Certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator), CompTIA Network+/Security+, or CCNA are a plus but not required.
