Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and performs behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility will provide a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy. For more information, please visit our website: Position Summary The Outpatient Social Worker performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio‑psychosocial needs while enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. Responsibilities include providing basic consultation, teaching, specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short‑term and long‑term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. Outpatient Services operate Monday‑Friday and the OP assists Inpatient Social Work as well. Qualifications Education: MSW or MS in Counseling License: LPC or LLPC; LMSW or LLMSW Experience: Requires at least 1 to 3 years’ experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. Combination of education, licensure and experience and/or student internship hours may be considered.
