Key Qualifications:

• Must have demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience working in a school setting, preferably K-12
• Dedication to supporting students with diverse abilities and backgrounds
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and students
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

What You’ll Do:

• Assist classroom teachers with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Support students throughout the school day, providing academic and behavioral guidance
• Foster an engaging and safe classroom environment
• Facilitate communication between students and staff using ASL as needed
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and school-wide initiatives
• Encourage student independence, confidence, and participation in school activities
• Adapt instructional materials to meet students’ unique needs
