PRIMARY PURPOSE: Proactively works as a team member with Procurement, Quality, Engineering and others to maintain required flow of all parts while achieving continuous supply chain improvements in Quality, Delivery and Cost.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops projected annual requirements for assigned part families.
• Assists in the development of annual purchase agreements with suppliers.
• Develops and communicates purchased parts schedules to Lycoming's suppliers.
• Responsible for planning and rescheduling of assigned parts in Oracle system.
• Places purchase orders with suppliers.
• Plans, schedules, and expedites assigned purchased parts to ensure timely availability of quality components.
• Negotiates pricing as required with oversight from the Procurement manager.
• Liaises with suppliers to resolve quality and delivery issues.
• Works with the Accounting department to resolve invoice/payment discrepancies.
• Responsible for inventory reduction planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good manufacturing business acumen, including 6 Sigma methodologies.
• Solid background in Procurement and related supply chain disciplines.
• Computer literate.
• Experience/familiarity with manufacturing business systems, preferably Oracle.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with two years experience or 3 years related work experience in a related manufacturing/assembly environment.
• Strong leadership skills
