Registered Nurse - PACU Location: Rochester, NY. Start date: 09/14/2026. Contract duration: 17 weeks. Pay: $2,259–$2,309 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 12-hour shifts. Travel assignment in postoperative care, providing recovery support for adult patients. Work in a fast-paced, high-volume PACU with rotating day/evening/night coverage, including holidays and weekends. On-call and callbacks as needed. This travel role is in a surgical services setting designed for experienced PACU nurses who thrive in a team environment and prioritize patient safety and clear communication. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,259–$2,309 per week Guaranteed hours: 0 Contract duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts Start date: 09/14/2026 Work setting: acute post-anesthesia recovery in an inpatient surgical environment Schedule: 36 hours per week with rotating D/E/N shifts, holidays, weekends, on-call as needed Responsibilities Provide post-anesthesia care for adult patients transitioning from anesthesia to recovery Monitor vitals, pain scores, device function, and fluid status; respond to unstable conditions per protocol Administer medications and monitor patient response under physician orders; document findings accurately Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and nursing staff to ensure patient safety and smooth handoffs Assess readiness for transfer or discharge from PACU; communicate patient status to receiving units Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record and adhere to safety and infection control standards Requirements Active RN license in New York (NY RN license required) PACU experience required; ICU experience preferred Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association) required Experience: at least 2 years of RN experience Ability to work in a fast-paced PACU setting and to participate in rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends Comfortable with on-call and callback responsibilities as part of the assignment Benefits and Support Competitive weekly pay 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated support throughout the assignment Nationwide travel opportunities Credentialing and onboarding assistance Ongoing assignment extension opportunities Pay Disclaimer Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
