Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Restorative Dentist role based in Hartford, CT. The Restorative Dentist will focus on restorative phases of implant treatment, including designing and delivering implant-supported restorations, adjusting occlusion, and ensuring optimal function and aesthetics. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical evaluations, reviewing diagnostic records, collaborating with surgical providers and lab technicians on treatment plans, and performing restorative procedures such as abutment placement, impression taking, and delivery of provisional and final prostheses. The role involves educating patients about treatment options and post-operative care, documenting cases in alignment with clinical protocols, and maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety. The Restorative Dentist will also participate in case reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing training to support Nuvia’s standardized workflows and exceptional patient experience. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution, with an active and unrestricted dental license (or eligibility to obtain licensure) in Connecticut. Experience in restorative dentistry, with strong skills in implant-supported restorations, fixed prosthodontics, occlusal adjustment, and aesthetic treatment planning. Proficiency in using digital dentistry tools such as intraoral scanners, digital imaging systems, and electronic health records, or a strong willingness to learn these technologies. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with surgical dentists, specialists, and dental laboratory teams to deliver predictable, high-quality outcomes. Strong patient communication skills, including the ability to explain complex treatment plans in accessible terms and provide empathetic chairside care. Commitment to following standardized clinical protocols, maintaining meticulous documentation, and upholding rigorous infection control and patient safety standards. Prior experience in implant dentistry, prosthodontics, or advanced restorative procedures is highly beneficial; completion of relevant residencies, fellowships, or continuing education in implantology is a plus.
