How you’ll make an impact in this role Lead shift operations by strategically assigning patient loads to ensure every individual receives high-quality, attentive care tailored to their specific needs. Mentor and empower nursing staff through real-time education and guidance, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and professional growth within the unit. Resolve patient and family concerns with empathy and efficiency, acting as a dedicated advocate to ensure a safe, supportive, and positive healing environment. Optimize unit resources and supply workflows to ensure the frontline team has exactly what they need to deliver seamless, uninterrupted bedside care. Evaluate team performance and provide meaningful input on hiring and development, helping to build and sustain a high-performing medical-surgical department. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required. What additional preferences we're seeking Proven Med Surg Expertise: 1 year of experience in a Medical-Surgical environment to effectively navigate the clinical complexities of the unit.
