Your Role and Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and creating personalized treatment plans
• Identifying and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses jointly with physicians or independently (depending on your credentials)
• Providing education to patients and their families regarding health promotion, disease prevention, and wellness
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies under your scope of authority
• Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care effectively
• Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee integrated, comprehensive patient care
• Documenting thoroughly and accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Education and Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Required

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Kansas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within 90 days)
