Position Description: Tax Assistants provide support to an organization’s tax or accounting department. Their role is a combination of administrative assistance and accounting support. They must be able to perform functions, such as processing tax returns and maintaining databases. Tax Assistants work under the supervision of a Tax Manager or supervisor. Responsibilities, but not limited to: Prepare all tax payments for state and local taxes Assist to resolve tax notices and issues of all subsidiaries in 14 states Prepare tax team projects and tax research Prepare month end reconciliations relating to sales and use tax accounts File all subsidiaries' monthly sales and use tax returns in 14 states File all subsidiaries' monthly or quarterly local tax returns (Property Tax / Meals Tax / Bag Tax / Other Taxes) Assist to prepare quarterly and annually tax forecast, budget, and cash flow for H Mart companies group Assist to prepare quarterly and annually estimated corporation tax payments Qualifications: Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. Bachelor in Accounting or Finance Bilingual (Korean and English) is a Must Asian-American supermarket experience preferred Handling sensitive and confidential information properly Knowledge in SAP preferred MON-FRI, 9:00am to 6:00pm Company provided Lunch Health, Dental & Vision insurance / EAP (Employee Assistance Program) per company policy 401 (k) Retirement Plan with up to 5% match per company policy per company policy Life Insurance and AD&D (Accidental death & Dismemberment) per company policy BTA Insurance (Business Travel Accident Coverage)
