Position: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Waco, TX
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $28.04/hour

Summary Description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient flow of materials, products, and information throughout the shipping and supply chain process. This position works closely with the management team, scheduler, shipping associates, Customer Service Representatives, and transportation partners to coordinate shipments, maintain accurate inventory and shipping records, and help ensure products are delivered accurately and on time.

The Logistics Coordinator also supports receiving and inventory activities and assists with general administrative responsibilities. This role is an important part of maintaining efficient shipping operations, controlling costs, and providing a high level of service to internal and external customers.

What You'll Be Doing

Shipping & Logistics Coordination

• Work closely with the management team, scheduler, and shipping associates to coordinate daily shipping activities.
• Attend Production Meetings and review shipping schedules, bills of lading, customer orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and required shipping methods.
• Schedule all outbound shipments through the OTM system.
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries for outbound and return shipments.
• Create Bills of Lading (BOLs) for return products, storage trucks, cylinders, crates, and other materials or products.
• Communicate with Customer Service Representatives regarding shipment tracking, shipping and receiving dates, and other logistics-related questions or concerns.
• Communicate over- and under-tolerance shipping quantities and other shipment discrepancies to appropriate partners.
• Track shipments while in transit and help resolve delays or other transportation issues.
• Provide timely shipment updates to internal and external customers.
• Maintain and file pack-out documentation, shipping paperwork, and related records.

Receiving & Inventory Support

• Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
• Inspect received materials for damage, shortages, or other discrepancies and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Store received materials in designated locations within the storeroom or warehouse.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized inventory systems.
• Assist with periodic physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation activities.
• Help maintain accurate records of materials moving into and out of the facility.

Administrative & Team Support

• Assist leadership with general administrative responsibilities.
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries as appropriate.
• Greet visitors and provide professional front-office support as needed.
• Copy, scan, fax, and organize documents.
• Maintain clear communication with Shipping, Production, Customer Service, Scheduling, and Management.
• Support additional shipping, logistics, inventory, and administrative activities as assigned.

We'd Love to Hear From You If

• You have previous experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role, with knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and procedures.
• You have a strong understanding of supply chain management concepts, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• You are proficient in using logistics management software and systems.
• You have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• You have excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• You can effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• You demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• You can communicate effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers.
• You are comfortable coordinating across multiple teams to resolve shipping, receiving, and logistics-related issues.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Candidates who demonstrate the necessary manufacturing experience and the required literacy, numeracy, and technical skills will be considered regardless of educational background.
