JOB SUMMARYWorks under general direction to perform professional level medical or scientific research assignments related to particular or specialized field of endeavor. The Dr. D'Orso lab investigates transcription regulatory mechanisms in the context of HIV-1 latency, cell fate choice, and cancer. We aim at leveraging fundamental basic knowledge to devise novel therapies for HIV-1, immune-based disorders, and cancer. Our mission is to:Elucidate the underlying molecular mechanisms of transcriptional regulation during HIV-1 latency maintenance and reactivation.Define fundamental principles of transcriptional regulation with broader implications to physiologic (differentiation, development) and pathological (cancer, chronic inflammation) contexts.We are seeking a Research Associate that has experience with large-scale data analysis.
