Emergency Vehicle Upfitter

Boggs Recruiting is a leading Heavy Truck recruiting agency. Currently, we are working with a highly reputable Emergency Vehicle company based in St Johns IN, that is seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join their team. Company offers a full benefits package/Monday to Friday 1st shift.

Job Description:

As an Emergency Vehicle Upfitter, you will be responsible for installing and customizing equipment on emergency vehicles. You will work closely with a team of experienced technicians to ensure that all vehicles are upfitted to the highest standards and meet the specific needs of each client.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and customize emergency vehicle equipment including lighting, sirens, radios, and other specialized equipment
Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to ensure proper installation
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues during the installation process
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Communicate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide recommendations for equipment and installation
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in emergency vehicle equipment to provide the best solutions for clients

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency vehicle upfitting or a related field
Strong understanding of electrical systems and wiring - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of emergency vehicle equipment and industry trends is a plus
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
