Head Tennis Coach

Starting Date: Immediately McCluer: High School Head Coach - Girls Tennis Ferguson-Florissant School District, MCCLUER HIGH - Florissant, Missouri Minimum Qualifications Must possess a teaching certificate or a substitute‑teaching certificate (60 or more college hours). Responsibilities Plan, organize, and coach summer practices. Size and order uniforms and equipment. Distribute uniforms and orders. Plan and receive administrative approval for fundraisers to defray athlete costs. Manage and distribute sports schedules. Complete MSHAA online rules review and NFHS concussion training. Provide first aid for students; maintain emergency procedures. Post information at high schools, middle schools, local parochial and private schools. Hold informational meetings for parents and participants. Track applications, teacher recommendations, physical cards, proof of insurance, and attendance for all applicants. Set up and manage tryouts. Follow all state, league, federation, building and district guidelines, procedures, and policies. Hold parent meetings. Order buses for activities. Ensure travel forms are complete. Maintain uniform inventory and documentation. Manage, supervise, and attend all practices. Maintain compliance with MSHSAA eligibility rosters starting 5 days before the first eligible contest. Submit transfer student list to the Athletic Director within the first two days of practice. Attend all assigned games home and away, including postseason. Organize additional fundraisers throughout the season. Develop routines for sports assemblies and attend pep rallies. Organize and participate in Homecoming activities (Fall Sports). Maintain activities that promote school spirit. Keep accurate records of attendance and athlete grades. Report statistics within two days after each contest. Complete MSHSAA postseason online forms. Manage and discipline athletes throughout the year. Submit approved time sheets to the Athletic Director no later than Wednesday after the reporting period. Maintain parental contact. Assist athletes with college recruitment processes. Collect, wash, repair, and store uniforms after the season. Complete inventory report and submit within two weeks of season’s end. Submit fine cards to the Athletic Director’s Office. Assist with hosting events to distribute letters and awards. Assess the year and plan improvements for the next year. Attend Post Athletic Evaluation meeting with the Athletic Director. Terms of Employment Athletic contracts are seasonal. Fall contracts paid one time approximately November10; Winter contracts paid approximately February10; Spring contracts paid approximately May10. Physical Requirements Includes lifting up to 100 lbs, carrying over 100 lbs, moving/traveling, and other customary physical tasks for the season.
