Job Description At TriHealth, Respiratory Therapy Students make a meaningful impact every day. Bethesda North Hospital's Respiratory Therapy team practices in a large, growing tertiary hospital and regional heart center licensed for approximately 397 beds. Our RTs deliver high-acuity, autonomous respiratory care across inpatient and outpatient settings, including advanced ventilator management, intubation, and active involvement in cardiac surgery recovery, LVAD care, and ECMO ramping. Bethesda North is recognized regionally for excellence in cardiac care and holds Blue Distinction recognition for cardiac services; the campus also serves as the designated trauma center for northern Cincinnati, giving therapists broad exposure to complex, time-sensitive cases and opportunities for clinical growth. We are a servant-led, team-focused department that emphasizes professional development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical leadership. Location: Bethesda North Hospital-Respiratory, 10500 Montgomery Rd Cincinnati, OH 45242 Schedule: Optional, Prefer Nights-Rotates Weekends and Holidays Incentives & Benefits: We offer competitive shift differentials, opportunities for professional growth, and a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, retirement savings plans, and tuition reimbursement. *PRN positions not eligible for TriHealth benefits Job Overview: This job exists as a temporary position for RCP students enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy School until they obtain their limited permit from the State Medical Board of Ohio. RCP students who do not obtain the limited permit within department specified time frames will no longer be eligible to remain in this job category. Under the direction of the Medical Director this individual will assist licensed respiratory care practitioners in patient care settings appropriate to their level of training and competency - see stipulations identified in the performance measures and standards- . Duties may include developing assessment skills under the direction of a licensed RCP, cleaning and assembling department equipment, EKGs, and providing licensed RCP's with necessary supplies. Job Requirements: Currently enrolled in an approved program for specific field of study in Allied Health
Enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
Cardiopulmonary physiology, other sciences related to respiratory care, and relevant pharmacology Job Responsibilities: Assembles equipment and circuitry applicable to equipment with all required supplies and accessories.
Cleans and disinfects department equipment following infection control guidelines. Transports supplies to and from central processing.
Provides licensed RCP's with necessary supplies and replenish inventory levels in store rooms.
Demonstrates proficiency and skill in EKGs and other activities as directed by a licensed RCP. Other Job-Related Information: Working Conditions: Climbing - Rarely
