Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Fort Myers, Florida Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,920 Position Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment Start Date: January 8, 2027 Assignment End Date: April 10, 2027 Unit: 36-bed Medical Oncology Progressive Care Unit Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: Approximately 5:1 Electronic Medical Record: Epic Openings: 3 Travel RN Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida At least 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or medical oncology nursing experience Clearly documented oncology nursing experience in your work history Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Progressive Care nursing experience and knowledge of higher-acuity patient care Chemo certification preferred Verifiable education credentials from an appropriately accredited program, or at least 5 years of relevant nursing experience Travel nursing experience preferred Ability to float to other units or nearby affiliated locations as needed; travelers may be among the first selected to float Ability to complete all required documentation and credentialing before the assignment start date Progressive Care Unit Nurse Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical oncology patients in a 36-bed Progressive Care Unit Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions requiring progressive-level care Perform nursing assessments, administer medications and treatments, and evaluate patient responses Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate clinical team Coordinate care with providers, therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic Maintain safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care for individuals and families Float to other units or affiliated locations when operational needs require, while maintaining professional nursing standards Apply now for this Travel Registered Nurse opportunity and join a collaborative medical oncology Progressive Care Unit team in Fort Myers, Florida.
