Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist for a contract opportunity supporting a Travel Accounting team in Poway, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong Travel and Expense experience, excellent customer service skills, and hands-on experience using Concur, SAP, and Excel.

As an Accounting Specialist, you will support a high-volume, transactional accounting environment focused on employee expense reports, travel documentation, compliance review, and internal customer support. Key Responsibilities

- Review, audit, and process employee Travel and Expense reports to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Communicate with travelers, administrators, and internal employees to resolve expense report questions and non-routine issues.
- Perform general accounting and travel accounting activities, including transaction input, monitoring, coordination, and reporting.
- Maintain Excel tracking files, download data from accounting systems, prepare reports, and format accounting data.
- Provide administrative and operational support to accounting and travel team members as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial, employee, and business information.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay Rate: $33.00 to $37.00 per hour.
- Target Rate: $35.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Duration: 4 to 5 month contract assignment.
- Schedule: Day shift hours.
- Work Arrangement: Onsite in Poway, CA with 1 work-from-home day per week.
- Potential opportunity to convert to full-time employment based on business needs.
