Project Environmental Engineer

Project Environmental Engineer – Fort Lauderdale, FL AECOM’s Environment Remediation Practice seeks an experienced engineer to lead projects, manage technical, cost, and schedule elements, and support business development. Job Responsibilities Serve as senior technical resource and advisor to the project team. Provide specialized technical input to studies and design. Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high‑quality cost‑effective work. Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical effort for projects. Apply expertise through all steps of completing disciplinary component of PS&E package. Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Prepare technical specification sections. Provide input to engineering budget and schedule development to meet requirements. Minimum Requirements BA/BS in Environmental Engineering plus 6 years of related experience or equivalent. Valid U.S. driver’s license; must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review. U.S. citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering. Experience on projects with the Florida Department of Transportation. Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure and related certifications. 7+ years in environmental consulting focused on site assessment and/or remediation. 7+ years of project management experience. Proficient technical writing (remedial investigation reports, corrective action studies, etc.). Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations. Relocation assistance is not available.
