HR Operations Specialist – Job Data & Skills

Position Overview

We are seeking an HR Operations Specialist – Job Data & Skills to support HR data cleanup, job profile migration, skills mapping, and data validation activities within an enterprise HR system.

While the role includes administrative and data-focused responsibilities, the ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of HR processes and job classifications and be comfortable making informed decisions regarding skills, job profiles, and HR-related data.

This position is well suited for someone with a broad HR background who is comfortable working with HR systems, structured data, and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform HR data cleanup and validation activities within enterprise HR systems.
• Migrate and update job descriptions and job-related information.
• Map skills to appropriate job profiles and classifications.
• Review job-related data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Validate system-generated skills and determine whether they appropriately align with job profiles.
• Make informed judgment calls regarding skills, classifications, and job-related data.
• Enter and transfer structured job information into designated HR system fields.
• Identify inconsistencies, missing information, or potential classification issues and determine appropriate resolutions.
• Follow established HR data standards, processes, and guidelines.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across job profiles and related HR data.
• Collaborate with HR stakeholders and other teams when clarification is required.
• Support broader HR data and system-related projects as needed.

Typical Work Activities

• Entering structured job data into HR system fields.
• Reviewing and validating job descriptions.
• Reviewing system-generated skills and classifications.
• Determining whether skills appropriately correspond to specific job profiles.
• Identifying discrepancies in job-related information.
• Applying HR knowledge and business judgment to resolve data-related questions.
• Ensuring HR data is accurately represented within the system.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in Human Resources , HR operations, HR shared services, HR administration, or a related field.
• Broad understanding of HR processes and practices.
• Experience working with HR systems, HR data, or enterprise applications .
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to review information and make informed decisions based on HR knowledge and business context.
• Comfortable working with structured data and repetitive administrative processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and determine appropriate classifications or corrections.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new HR systems quickly.

Preferred Background

• Experience in HR Shared Services or a similar centralized HR environment.
• Generalist HR experience covering multiple HR functions.
• Experience with job architecture, job profiles, skills frameworks, job descriptions, or HR data management .
• Experience with enterprise HR platforms such as Oracle or similar HRIS systems.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to apply practical judgment to HR-related data.
• Experience supporting HR system implementations, migrations, data cleanup, or transformation projects.
