Platform Manager @ Equal Ventures in New York City, NY

We’re excited to share that we’re kicking off the search for a Platform Manager to join our team in New York City. About the Role We’re looking for a versatile and highly organized individual to join our team as a Platform Manager. The Platform Manager will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, from helping plan and put together our industry conferences to leading our community and marketing initiatives. They will work closely with our investment team on initiatives critical to our firm’s success, while also playing a key part in fostering strong relationships with our Limited Partners (LPs), founders, and the broader community. Please note: This is not an investment role and does not lead to an investment position. However, we view the individual who joins our team as a critical member when it comes to ensuring that the firm can operate effectively and be the best partner to entrepreneurs and LPs. The Platform Manager will work with our team in the office in Flatiron. We’re in the office 4 days per week. The anticipated salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $135,000. Specific Responsibilities This role will touch many facets across the operations of a venture firm. Some of the responsibilities will include: Conference & Events Management: Organize industry conferences, Annual LP Meetings, and internal events; handle logistics, vendor selection, and budgeting Marketing & Communications: Oversee firm newsletters, social media, and branded content; maintain outreach lists; coordinate with external vendors on marketing projects Community Oversight: Manage and help run new community initiatives that Equal runs like The Emerging Manager Circle. Special Projects & Operations: Support fund operations, assist portfolio companies with time-sensitive initiatives, and lead ad-hoc projects as needed Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of professional experience in operations, project management, marketing, consulting, investment platform, or similar roles. Capable multi-tasker: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and deadlines. Desire for excellence: Takes immense pride in the detail, thoroughness, accuracy, and overall quality of their work. Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Comfortable sourcing, negotiating, and managing external partners for events or firm needs. High Level of Organization: Able to bring structure to ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and track progress.
