Executive Assistant to Managing Partner - Venture Capital Firm - New York City (Onsite)

Our client, a high-growth venture capital firm built by founders for founders, is looking for an exceptionally sharp and polished Executive Assistant to support one of the firm's Managing Partners in their NYC office. This person will be a key gatekeeper and thought partner, helping manage an exceptionally high volume of relationships and requests with judgment, discretion, warmth, and poise.

The Nitty Gritty:

• Serve as the right hand to a Managing Partner, owning their complex calendar, meeting flow, scheduling, and day-to-day logistics
• Act as a highly effective gatekeeper, understanding who needs immediate access, who should be prioritized for later, and how to thoughtfully decline requests when appropriate
• Manage a high volume of requests from founders, investors, executives, and other high-priority contacts with professionalism and excellent judgment
• Develop a deep understanding of the Partner's priorities, preferences, communication style, and working cadence
• Coordinate across the broader investment team to ensure the Partner is prepared and operating efficiently
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Help maintain strong follow-up with founders and other important relationships
• Support the firm's broader platform and growth initiatives as the role evolves
• Assist with dinners, events, and other gatherings hosted by the firm; this person should be comfortable being part of the action when needed
• Serve as a highly collaborative member of a small, entrepreneurial team
• Take on additional business-related projects as trust and familiarity with the firm grow

The Essentials:

• 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant
• Experience supporting founders, investors, executives, or leadership teams in a startup, venture capital, or similarly fast-paced environment is highly preferred
• Extremely organized and meticulous, with strong attention to detail
• Polished and confident communicator who knows how to interact with senior executives, founders, investors, and other high-priority individuals
• Excellent judgment and an intuitive understanding of urgency, prioritization, and discretion
• Warm, personable, and diplomatic nature
• Able to operate in a fast-moving, high-energy environment
• Proactive and naturally anticipates needs rather than waiting to be asked
• Team-oriented and willing to jump in when needed, particularly around events and firm initiatives
• High level of professionalism and polish

Compensation: $150k - 170k base salary + benefits (exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and expertise)
