Project Manager

Project ManagerScope of Work: DSS is seeking three qualified individuals to provide full-time project management for two DSS program areas: Medical Services (1 position) and Child Support (2 positions). DSS may select candidates from one or more vendor proposals. Activities include but are not limited to:Lead a team of business and data analysts to oversee the design, development, and implementation of various information system transformation projects.Provide strategic direction to the agency.Assists with defining strategic direction of enterprise level IT implementations.Define business and technological requirements, consults with product owner, subject matter experts, and scrum teams to define business needs and objectives.Provides project management of highly complex large scale enterprise IT projects and smaller scale projects.Lead and coordinate efforts of development team and vendors to ensure solutions are implemented successfully.Ensures project governance and monitoring controls are in place.Responsible to ensure project design, development, and implementation are on time and budget.Mentor state personnel in project management and over time potentially train state resources to take over this function.Qualified candidates should have the following skills and experience:Successful experience managing information technology solutions.PMP certification or equivalent working experience.Knowledge of various software development methodologies (agile, waterfall, DevOps, etc.).Experience in successfully applying project management and project governance principles.
