Senior Pega Developer Position Location Richmond VA, Lynchburg VA, or Remote. Your Role As a Senior Pega Developer, you will take ownership of the development, maintenance, and optimization of mobile and desktop Pega‑based solutions. This role supports critical systems that enable world‑class service to policyholders for Long‑Term Care (LTC) Claims Administration applications and services. What You Will Be Doing Provide support for Pega applications. Serve as a Senior Application Developer for the LTC Claims Operations technology team by designing, developing, and supporting scalable workflow applications. Develop software using PEGA Rules Process Commander (PRPC) for Business Process Management and Business Process Rules initiatives. Create innovative solutions to address design, architectural, and technical challenges. Partner with the Lead System Architect to determine solution design and produce required technical documentation. Perform ongoing refactoring, apply visualization techniques, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Build and maintain strong peer relationships across cross‑functional technology teams and application users. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Testers, and business users to prioritize development within resource constraints. Evaluate and adapt emerging technologies and toolsets as appropriate. Perform peer code reviews and ensure strong adherence to Pega guardrails. What You Bring BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA). 5–7+ years of Pega application development experience. 4+ years developing BPM applications using Pega PRPC Platform 8 & 24/25. Strong enforcement of Pega best practices for design and architecture. Experience with Agile (Scrum). Experience with SQL Server or Oracle. Experience with .NET or Java preferred. Experience in large‑scale enterprise environments. Experience with Pega Constellation. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience leading development teams.
